I am Alice, a designer, maker and creative living in Cornwall. 

After studying printed textile design at Nottingham Trent University, I have been working for lifestyle brands  over the last 12 years as a print designer helping create their colour, mood, and print collections to support the creative direction. 

Creativity has always been at the heart of what I do, and what really brings my sprit alive. Being immersed in nature has always been my place of solace, and I spend much of my spare time outside embracing the Cornish landscape I am surrounded by. The South West is full of endless inspiration and as a way of life I feel deeply rooted in its wildness. 

In a world that is so fast paced and striving for more, I find a huge amount of comfort in connecting and rooting myself in nature, and aligning myself with its ebbs and flows and rhythms. My fascination with natures cycles, energies, seasons, flora and fauna as well as our connection to this energy and how deep this runs within us informs all aspects of what I do, and exploring these themes is what underpins my personal work as well as the people and brands I collaborate with. 

I am passionate about connecting people to each others creativity as well as their own. Capturing the glimmers, wonders and precious moments that happen around us all the time and are often missed or forgotten.

At Summer Moon Studio we design with sustainability and creativity at heart, using recycled and sustainably sourced materials every step of the way. Small batch production helps us to reduce waste and celebrate the beauty and joy of every piece !
